ARRIVAL TIME: Supervision of children by staff does not begin until 8:45 AM; students must not be dropped off prior to this time. Students may be dropped off in the back of the building between 8:45AM and the time the last bus unloads. Once the last bus has unloaded, any student being dropped off is considered tardy; the parent/guardian must park their vehicle and accompany the student to the main office to check in. Also, walkers and bike riders should not arrive before 8:45 AM.
*Please note: The driveway in front of the school is for busses only between 8:30 and 9:05AM, and between 2:45 and 3:20 PM.
DISMISSAL TIME : Children are dismissed from school beginning at 3:05PM (11:35AM on early release days). All adults here for after school pick-up should park in the back parking lot and enter the building through the back door. Adults MUST sign out students on a sign-out sheet. Staff members will be present to help with dismissal. *No child will be dismissed into the custody of a person other than the parent/guardian of the child unless a note has been sent from the parent/guardian specifying the name of the person who is authorized to pick up the child that day, or a Student Transportation Form is on file authorizing an adult to pick up a student on a specific day of the week.
Busses usually leave by 3:20PM (noon on early release days). The school must be notified IN WRITING of all students who will be walking back and forth to school. PLEASE NOTE: phone calls changing a student’s dismissal instructions will not be accepted unless there is an emergency.
EARLY DISMISSAL: Early dismissal must be arranged through your child’s teacher and the office. Please have your child bring a note stating: (1) the reason for dismissal, (2) the time s/he is to be dismissed, and (3) the name of the person who will picking up the child (not just ‘her grandfather’ or ‘Aunt Janie’). *No child will be dismissed into the custody of a person other than the parent/guardian of the child unless a note has been sent from the parent/guardian specifying the name of the person who is authorized to pick up the child that day. Please do not call the school for an early dismissal except in the case of an emergency. The parents/guardian or designated pick-up person must come to the office to sign out and pick up the child. Because of safety issues, children are not allowed to wait outside.
LUNCH AND RECESS: Each grade has a 20-minute lunch period followed by a 20-minute recess period. The lunch schedule is as follows:

3rd Grade 12:10PM
4th Grade 12:35PM
Parents/Guardians are welcome to join their student for lunch on Fridays. Please come to the main office first, sign in, and obtain a visitor badge. If you bring in food to share with your child, it may not be shared with any other students.
Due to safety concerns, parents/guardians may not join their child for recess.
REPORT CARDS: Kindergarten students will receive report cards twice a year. Kindergarten report cards will be distributed onFebruary 2, 2015 and the last day of school. Report cards for grades 1-4 are sent out by trimester. Students in grades 1-4 will receive report cards on December 5, 2014, March 20, 2015, and the last day of school.
VISITORS AND VOLUNTEERS: All persons entering the school must enter by the main doors outside the Main Office area and must sign in at the office (the doors to the left as you look at the building from the driveway). *No one is to go directly to a classroom. For security reasons, temporary badges will be issued to individual visitors and volunteers while they are in the school. All badges must be visibly worn while in the school. Please sign out at the Main Office when leaving.
